It’s a Wumblerful World We Live In!
1) Global Community – The Wumblers preschool television series combines unique storylines, original characters, and imaginative fun while embracing a global perspective. "We give preschoolers the tools to make this world a better place, and we do it all through inspiration and play." (Laura J. Wellington, creator) - view a preview of the Wumblers Show
2) Mother Wumbler - Mother Wumbler (a derivative of Mother Earth) founded The Wumblers' hometown of Wumbleton. Hence, she is commemorated by a statue erected within a fountain centered in the middle of town as well as an annual festival, which honors her foresight and contributions in the creation of the Wumbler community.
3) Born from Watermelon – Baby Wumblers are born to Wumbler parents from watermelon. Prospective parents plant a seed at the watermelon farm, which is then cultivated by the watermelon farmer until the individual watermelon matures and cracks open only to divulge a little darling of their very own. Wumbler babies are born either blue or pink in color so that preschoolers can readily identify the addition of a boy or girl into the community. Soon-to-be parents visit the watermelon farm often during the maturation period. Much care goes into the process by both the watermelon farmer and eager parents. The birth of a Wumbler baby is celebrated by the entire community as Wumblers believe that "it takes a community to raise a child;" thus they are all quite responsible for each other's children as a method of ensuring the proper raising of all little Wumblers.
4) Color Changing Day – On a Wumblers' five year old birthday, the celebration is marked by the birthday Wumbler changing color from his (her) original color to his (her) own unique color, signaling to the Wumbler child and coinciding preschool viewers that differences are revered and valued in the Wumbler community. Whomever or whatever a Wumbler is suppose to be is honored and embraced within Wumbler society supporting a core Wumbler principle that "differences can unite rather than divide." Our greatest strengths result from a combination of differences as we can build more through our individual variations than we can ever do on our own or through generic "likeness." A very dependent, cooperative, and respectful community, Wumbler inhabitants also take it upon themselves to compensate for each other's weaknesses. They value the "whole" of a the individual Wumbler as well as the "whole" of the community and do whatever it takes to make that "whole" work.

5) Munchetti – The food of The Wumbler, it falls from the sky only when the Wumbler community requires more food. Munchetti storms (similar to that of our real world snow storms except much more colorful in the descent) occur only when necessary and to the absolute delight of the entire community. This is an exceedingly non-wasteful community whereupon both the propagation of the Munchetti storm as well as the use of the Munchetti is absolutely efficient. It is the job of the local grocer to collect the Munchetti and barrel it within his market. Munchetti is delivered by the grocer to any Wumbler who can not make it to the market for a frailty or alternate reason. As Wumblers never take advantage of each other, the grocer would not think of questioning Wumblers in need. Making deliveries is welcomed as it denotes the additional advantage of saying "Hello" to one's neighbor. Munchetti comes in different colors that can be mixed to create all variations of taste and form.

6) Imaginary Friends – Bertrum has five imaginary friends that pop from a hand held mirror when he needs supplementary advice or assistance in solving problems past his usual resources. Each imaginary friend represents a different facet of Bertrum's personality, and all of Bertrum's imaginary friends can be seen by Raimundo and Gibby besides himself. The inclusion of the imaginary friends allows preschoolers to recognize that they are not alone in their inventiveness or attachment to their own imaginary friends. View and Print-a-Wumbler
The social, ergonomic, educational, spiritual, and inspirational goals of The Wumblers series is to nurture the individual child while fostering a sense of community, responsibility, and purpose towards each other as well as our planet. Inclusive in this is the "change" in the manner in which individual differences are viewed. Preschoolers are encouraged to move out of their smaller, more egocentric world and into our larger, multi-dimensional world where "the good of the individual" directly correlates with "the good of the whole." Educating children to these principles at such a young age will, ultimately, translate into ensuring a more peaceful, effectual, and enjoyable global society in which to live and grow.
